On the banks of the mighty Ölfus river, this stylish, modern hotel contrasts vividly with the natural beauty of the landscape of South Iceland around it.
The hotel’s impressive, bright, lofty foyer introduces a modern but distinctly Icelandic style that continues throughout the hotel. The restaurant’s large windows offer panoramic views across the wide Ölfus river, the town of Selfoss and the surrounding hills.
After a day spent exploring the Icelandic countryside, have a massage or a sauna session in the newly opened spa. Then enjoy a drink and relax on the bar’s comfortable sofas in front of the roaring open fire. Breathe in the clear Icelandic air and the striking views of the river Ölfus, flowing past into the centre of Selfoss.
The hotel’s bar offers comfortable sofas and a large open fire and the restaurant’s floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic views of the Ölfus river running past into town.
The hotel is at the end of the town’s main street, and all of the town centre’s bars, shops and restaurants are just a short walk away. Selfoss has an open air heated swimming pool just a short distance from the hotel. Experience all the beauty of Iceland and then relax in the well-appointed comfort of the hotel.

Surroundings
The hotel is in a tranquil environment on the banks of the wide Olfus river and is surrounded by many other natural Icelandic wonders.
Geysir is the world’s oldest known geyser and one of the most impressive. Eruptions can hurl boiling water up to 60 metres into the air. Eruptions may be infrequent, and have in the past stopped altogether for years at a time, but currently they are occurring about three times a day on average.
Thingvellir was made a national park in 1928 because of its historical importance and because of its special tectonic and volcanic environment. Cracks or faults run throughout the area, the largest, Almannagjá, being a veritable canyon. One of these faults is known as Peningagjá, or Penny Canyon, because it is littered with coins at the bottom. Legend has it that if you make a wish and then throw in a coin; if you see the coin hit the bottom then your wish will come true.
Gullfoss is a waterfall on Hvítá (The White River) in south central Iceland. The flow of the river from regular rains and glacial runoff makes Gullfoss the largest volume waterfall in Europe and one of the most spectacular sights in the world.
